The end and my new beginning by Golden Square

Only I can change my life, no one can do it for me – Carol Burnett

This statement is 100% correct with a small exception. Though it is me who chooses to travel the path of life, it is destiny that shows me the right direction at the right time.

It was 10:22 AM on a Wednesday Morning; I was in my Golden Square office, waiting to attend an important meeting in the conference room. I heard a knock on the door; ‘Sir would you like some coffee?’ said Shwetha, the office assist with a broad cheerful smile on her face. I remember the first day I met her at Golden Square; it was the same smile that cheered up my mornings during the unforgettable struggle in my life. By now she knew exactly what I would prefer for a morning dose. ‘Yes please, I would like a cup of coffee now’. Looking at the four walls and these valuable files on my table, I slowly slipped down my memory lane from where I started this enthralling journey. I met Somshekar at the Golden Square premises and since then we began to share a great bond. He insisted that I visit the Golden Square Business Centre every week  and constantly motivated me in my gloomy days. It was the beginning of 2016 and I was not what I am today. I was a struggling middle-class Insurance policy agent carrying the burden of my family.

It was those days where life appeared to be nothing less than the war fought between faith and death. I was choked by my financials and the merciless competition in the industry. Eventually, it also took over my family space while I was trying to keep up with the rest. I stood helpless and stranded and that is when my ray of hope, the light to my unseen quest was shown by Somshekar.

It was among those meaningful conversations when Somshekar introduced me to his Golden Square family and some BNI members. I began to get fascinated by seeing these top notch professionals belonging to different industries communicating and collaborating with each other. I took active participation in every meet possible and began networking with these experts. I seized every opportunity I got from them; I could see my ticket to the silver linings and my life evolving. This was a time when I quickly started my water purification business while still working as an insurance policy agent.

It was December 2016, almost 8-9 months with Golden Square, but honestly, I felt like it was eternity with them. This is when I got my first business through my BNI contacts; this is when the dark clouds in my sky began to clear. After this transformation in my life, I began to understand the depth of even the smallest principles in life, as simple as a second chance that can change the entire script of your life forever. There was no looking back. Today, I am here at my Virtual Office space in Golden Square Business Centre along with their unmatched services. I enjoy my work here, when Golden Square mentioned, ‘Joy at Work’ I wondered what it was…but now I definitely know what they mean! So far so good, it has been a great journey with Golden Square. I get all the necessary services right from conference rooms to personalized reception services, completely hassle free

I highly recommend Golden Square to every single person who is struggling to make a difference in their life, this is not just a place of business, it is where stories evolve into history and every small dreamer evolves into a legend.

Will I miss my flight?

To most of the city, it was just another day. Work went on at the Vittal Mallya Road branch of Golden Square just as usual, despite the sudden showers. The construction work at UB City blocked the roads, as it had for weeks now, but this didn’t hinder the flow at Golden Square Serviced Offices. Even lack of parking space had a quick fix in their hands. Mani was given a car to use as a shuttle, driving people to and from Cubbon Park, where ample parking space was available.

Yet, on this day, efficiency wasn’t the exact word of choice on the mind of one particular man. As I said, for most of the city, it was just another day, but for Mr. Bhaskar, this day was turning out to be a nightmare. Even though his flight would depart in about two hours, he was nowhere near the airport yet, not even on the road! He was still stranded at his office at Golden Square. You’d think that getting to the airport wouldn’t be the most difficult task in the world, and Mr. Bhaskar isn’t a sloppy man either. …

Golden square now at the Central Business District – Golden Square

Imagine our grandparents walked into any of our offices right now, they’d for sure wonder how we get any work done at all. A lot of successful organisations today work in a very different way from the firms of earlier days. Dress codes are non-existent, ‘Good morning Sir!’ and ‘Goodnight Ma’am’ have been replaced by ‘Hey Bud!’ and ‘See ya June!’ and long formal emails and meetings have given way to concise text messages passed on across chat groups on different social medias. However, the new generations of tech-savvy, internet-empowered employees have forced companies to modify or even eliminate policies that haven’t been touched for decades. But coming to the bigger picture, has any of this really managed to change the corporate workspace? And are these changes justified? We must say yes! Co-working spaces have brought in so much ease into the life of Millennials that working is now fun and innovative. Golden Square being one of the top co-working spaces across Bangalore is constantly …
